Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Swoop Junk ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on swoopjunk.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include pixels, tags and URL parameters that do the same job. "First-party" cookies are set by our Site; "third-party" cookies are set by other companies, such as Google, whose tools we use.

Cookies we use

We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use cookies to store your name, phone number or the details of your request. The categories below describe every type of cookie the Site may set. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if those tools are active on the Site.

Strictly necessary

Our Site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may set security cookies to block bots and spam. These are needed for the Site to work safely and cannot be switched off through the Site.

__cf_bmCloudflareDistinguishes people from bots to protect the Site and the quote form from abuse.30 minutes
cf_clearanceCloudflareRemembers that you passed a security check, so you are not asked again.Up to 1 year

These help us understand how many people visit, which pages they view and where they came from, so we can improve the Site.

CookieSet byPurposeExpires
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes visitors so we can count visits and see which pages are used.2 years
_ga_<ID>Google AnalyticsKeeps track of your session on the Site.2 years

Advertising and conversion measurement

We advertise on Google. These cookies tell us whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to request a quote, so we can measure and improve our ads. Google may also use this information under its own policies.

CookieSet byPurposeExpires
_gcl_auGoogle AdsMeasures whether visits from our ads lead to quote requests.90 days
_gcl_aw / _gcl_gbGoogle AdsStores the ad click identifier so a quote request can be credited to the ad that brought you here.90 days

Campaign information sent with your request

If you arrive from an ad or a tracked link, the web address may contain campaign details (such as utm_source or gclid). If you submit a request, we attach these details, the page you started on and the referring website to your request so we know which campaign it came from. This information may be shared with the Providers who receive your request. We do not store it in a cookie.

Your choices

California residents

Under California law, using advertising cookies to measure or target ads across websites can count as "sharing" personal information. You have the right to opt out of this sharing, and of the sale of your personal information, using any of the choices above. See our Privacy Policy for all of your California privacy rights and how to exercise them.

Do Not Track

Browsers' older "Do Not Track" setting has no agreed standard, so we do not respond to it. We do honor Global Privacy Control, described above.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the cookies we use change, and revise the "Last updated" date above.
